Martin Polanco, the Dominican fashion designer, based in New York, is responsible for the styling of Univision New York’s news program. The youngest of seven siblings, he began his career in 1994 by collaborating with his family on the brand Los Hermanos Polanco. In 1998, he launched his first collection under his own label.
Martin Polanco is not just a fashion designer—he is a creator of style. He has dressed renowned personalities such as Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, and Spanish model Ángela Ponce, as well as numerous celebrities from the Dominican Republic. His talent has transcended borders, showcasing his designs on various international runways. He is best known for his imposing guayaberas, his signature piece, and his spectacular suits.
Over the past year, he embarked on his tour, “La Vuelta al Mundo en Chacabana” (Around the World in Chacabana), dazzling audiences with his unique style in cities like Milan, Madrid, and Rome. Currently, he is preparing to open his boutique, El Museo de la Chacabana, an exclusive space that will include a bar for his most select clients, located in Ciudad Colonial, Dominican Republic. Additionally, he continues to support emerging talents through his foundation, Del Arte y Diseño del Caribe.
