Patricia Gomez-Gracia

Meet Patricia Gomez-Gracia, Madrid born, Miami native, whose career in fashion has brought her from Miami to New York to London, her adoptive home.

Patricia started her career like a natural. Unlike conventionally trained designers she studied economics and marketing at the University of Florida only inadvertently beginning her career in design. With a local textile store going out of business, her roommate suggested they buy fabric to make handbags. Though her roommate quickly lost interest, Patricia persevered in selling her creations. After graduation, she continued her new found interest back in Miami producing a capsulate collection. Her collection plays on timeless classics, creating
enduring styles and catering less to the current trends.

Inspiration percolates from life, little rock and roll, hipster detailing from London’s East End, sophisticated elegance from my West London, Notting Hill home. Influences range from fabrics and textures to shapes in rain smeared windows. I want women to enjoy wearing my pieces like I savour the visceral experience of creating something special. I want them to feel special. A Gomez-Gracia outfit should be an event. Women should feel more powerful and confident wearing my clothing but elegant and sophisticated too.
