Miami Rescue Mission endeavors to transform the lives of homeless men, women, and children through comprehensive residential programs to effect lasting change and empower them to become productive members of society.
Miami Rescue Mission is a charitable faith-based ministry providing spiritual, physical, and essential services to homeless and impoverished men, women, and children. We provide food, shelter, recovery programs, and transitional housing at our campuses in Miami-Dade and Broward County. Our goal is to reach out to homeless and vulnerable members in our community with compassion, demonstrating the love of God; to help individuals transition from isolation to inclusion, and become productive and successful members of their families and the community. As a faith-based organization, we operate with Christian and charitable values and provide our services to all without regard to race, faith, age or gender.
Miami Rescue Mission is one of the oldest and largest providers of emergency human services in the south Florida community. It was established in 1922 and served the Miami community throughout the Great Depression and World War II. As poverty spread out from the inner city into the suburbs, the Mission responded to the growing needs of impoverished and homeless individuals by expanding in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Today, Miami Rescue Mission operates multiple facilities and programs; and has a far reaching impact in Florida’s two largest counties, Miami-Dade and Broward.
